Happy to have my most recent painting accepted into the Disrupted REalism Exhibit at Powell Lanes Arts in Collingswood, NJ. The show is described by the gallery owners as a ‘meet cute of abstraction and realism, which sounds like a show I would check out even if I didn’t have work in it.
This painting is entitled Everyday is a New Opportunity for Disappointment.. …I’m making no apologies for the title. These are darkening times people, and it could rapidly get much worse. Painting, and really any creative work is how artists try to make sense orf the world.. That proces may result in relief, humor, understanding or anything in the range of human emotion for the artist and hopefully the viewer. Stay strong! Times will change.
